My name is David Guenther, and I started Great North Collective along with Mike Seehagel and Chris Amat.
I am a wedding and lifestyle photographer based in Alberta, Canada, and I tell stories with my images. While my focus is on love and people, I've also been fortunate enough to work with brands like Nike and Fujifilm. And with work comes the opportunity to travel. And with travel comes more experiences and stories to share.
One of the reasons I wanted to create Great North Collective was to create a community for myself and others to share these experiences and stories through photography. I wanted to be inspired by other creatives who are traveling, or just living in places that are completely different from my own surroundings. I wanted to create a platform where all these experiences could be shown together in one place. And that's what we've done.
The last number of months since we launched this community have seen an unbelievable growth in community across Canada and around the world. Not only have we made it possible for photographers and creatives to share and connect with one another, but we've created opportunities for others to get out and explore. Not only to find inspiration, but to connect with each other in real life, and reap the benefits.
It's been fantastic to see the community we created grow and take shape, and to see others create their own opportunities to explore, create, and inspire.
I am excited about where we are heading as a group. The adventures that we hope to create, not just for ourselves, but for the members of this community, are going to create some amazing experiences and I can't wait to see them unfold.
